LAV Filters can be used instead of built-in decoders. Go to SVP's Application settings -> All settings and set = true, then restart SVP.Turn off ffdshow raw video filter in the Filter Control -> Filter Priority (Overall) section, in case it was already set earlier.
However this mode is NOT recommended as it has some limitations, for example it doesn't allow to change the video frame size, so SVP's Video frame and Outer lighting functions won't work. MadVR may be a bit more mature, but Ive used alot of both and right now I use QT so I can use better SVP settings. baltic birch butcher block MadVR and MPC-QT have most of the same features. PotPlayer supports Avisynth and Vapoursynth directly, without the need for AVSF or ffdshow. Among the media players which offer support for madVR we mention MPC-HC, KMPlayer, Zoom Player and Daum PotPlayer. For the ffdshow just replace "Avisynth Filter" with ffdshow raw video filter in the above steps.
